7 Skin Care Resolutions to Make in 2022

2021 is coming to a close, and that means it’s time to start brainstorming what your newest batch of New Year’s resolutions should be—if you haven’t already. While we totally support making a commitment to eating well and staying active, today we’re here to talk to you about beauty resolutions. There are easy changes you can make to your skincare routine in 2021. These include everything from removing makeup each night with a facial cleanser to applying a moisturizer every morning. Here are ten skincare resolutions to stick to in 2022.

Cleansing should be a crucial, non-negotiable step in any skincare routine. This year, make a vow to keep your cleansing routine consistent—you should cleanse every morning before applying your makeup for the day and also every evening before heading to bed. In the morning, reach for the Dermalactives Purifying Cleansing Gel formulated for your skin type so that you can start things off on the right foot. You don’t want to apply moisturizer or makeup on top of dirty skin.

If you really want to have radiant, healthy-looking skin (and who doesn’t?), face serum is a no-brainer. Dermalactives Vitamin C Serum powerful, targeted treatment can go a long way in hydrating and toning your complexion. That’s why, in our opinion, using a face serum every single morning and evening, should be one of your skincare resolutions for 2022. Every morning and evening, after you use your facial cleanser but before you moisturize, reach for the Dermalactives Vitamin C Serum. Apply a few drops onto damp, clean skin and use a facial massaging technique to spread the product over the entirety of your complexion—after just a few uses, you’ll notice more hydrated and visibly plumped skin.

One of the biggest beauty faux pas you can make to sleep in your makeup. That’s because, when you sleep, your makeup can mix with the dirt and oils that have built upon the surface of your skin—and this can lead to clogged pores. Blocked pores, in turn, can result in breakouts and blackheads.

To make things easy on yourself, keep a bottle of Dermalactives Purifying Toner no-rinse, for all skin types, on your nightstand. That way, even on long nights when the last thing you want to do is get up and wash your face, at the very least, you can take off your makeup before hitting the hay. All you have to do is saturate a cotton pad with the toner water and wipe the pad across your face.

Keeping your skin hydrated is critical in ensuring it looks its best. The key to maintaining hydration is applying moisturizer morning and night—regardless of your skin type. Choose from the Dermalactive Purifying Triple Power Collagen Moisturizer, Dermalactives Purifying Day Cream, and Dermalactives Purifying Night Cream. These three moisturizers help provide long-lasting hydration. Smooth your moisturizer of choice over your serum-soaked skin. Once you’ve layered your serum and facial moisturizer, you can move on to applying your makeup.

It’s never too early—or too late—to begin following an anti-aging skincare routine. With the right skincare products, you can help minimize signs of aging, like fine lines and wrinkles, with continued use over time. To get started, try the Dermalactives Multi-Lift Anti-Aging Solution. The paraben-free, non-comedogenic serum immediately results in the skin’s texture feeling more refined. Over time, the appearance of wrinkles (including deep wrinkles) is reduced.

Another anti-aging step you should take ASAP: using an eye cream. Your eye area is the most delicate area of your face, so it needs extra special care. Every morning and night, apply the Dermalactives Eye Cream and Dermalactives Eye Lifting Solution.

Dead skin cells can build up on the surface of your skin, leaving your complexion looking dull. That’s why exfoliation is essential. You can use a face scrub to help slough away this buildup for smoother-looking and softer-feeling skin. We’ve got three scents options for you to choose from: the Dermalactives Soft Salt Glow Jojoba & Lavender, Dermalactives Soft Salt Glow Olive & Grapefruit, Dermalactives Soft Salt Glow- Apricot & Green Tea. Apply your face scrub of choice to dry skin, then add water and gently massage the face scrub over your skin before rinsing off thoroughly. Use it three times a week. Bonus: You can use any of these three face scrubs on your lips, too!

You want your complexion to look radiant and healthy, but that aspiration shouldn’t stop with your face. Make one of your skincare resolutions for 2022 by taking better care of your neck and chest area. Multi-tasking products like the Dermalactives Bio Collagen Neck, Lip, and Nasolabial Masks make it easy to cover all your bases. Just apply the tissue mask onto your neck and décolletage every evening before bed.
